Fire Safety was a long queued issue in discussion since many of the old buildings in India did not comply with fire safety norms. Hospitals running in these buildings however had all other documents in place. Recently NABH has cleared the issue by bringing out clear guidelines
for hospitals if they do not have a Fire NOC in place. These guidelines cover what all would be accepted against an absence of Fire NOC and what other compliance has to be done. The complete document can be downloaded from here
